Happy! Happy! Joy! Joy!

 

 

I think Ren and Stimpy came up with the perfect phrase for today. I don’t remember a Presidential inauguration where I was so joyful. Obama just seems to have run his campaign right and is taking everything seriously and thoughtfully – Presidential qualities that have often been lacking in the White House.

I’m just happy today that a different approach will now begin. Four years from now I hope we as a nation look back and are satisfied with how we were governed and what happened. I hope we as a country will prosper with this man at the helm…

Hope…

For the first time in seven years, I have some hope for the United States of America. Hope that our image abroad will improve. Hope that we will act responsibly and not invade other countries. Hope that the economic mess in front of us will be dealt with and be resolved. America ultimately was colorblind yesterday and that is the way it should be all the time.

Now I guess we’ll all have to get used to having constant media hoards in Chicago. Tough problem, but I’ll take it.
