Here’s a new one – Twitter feeds being incorporated into content. I just noticed today that the New York Times is incorporating reporter and following feed scrolls into some of their blogs. I probably don’t need to spend more time browsing, but it’s nice to have the option of checking out what’s listed and maybe [...]

A rant-free entry!

I have noticed that I’ve been ranting lately, which is explicitly against my blog goal (see “About” above.) I doubt I could ever be rant free, and I do have a platform here, but abusing it with rants is not cool. Hmm…as usual, it is harder for me to not rant than to rant. The [...]

Very sweet! The finishing touch was Patrick Kane nailing the final overtime goal! Chicago wins don’t come often enough, so we all, north and south side and burbs, will be savoring this for a loooong time. Congratulations Hawks! Great run.

Today is my favorite day of the year for listening to classical music. Plenty of fireworks are played. Today is Johannes Brahms’ (176) and Peter Ilyich Tchaikovsky’s (169) birthdays. These two are definately in my top five list of favorite composers. 1812 Overture? 4 fantastic symphonies from Mr. Brahms? (they need to be played more!) [...]

An American hero…

Chesley Burnett “Sully” Sullenberger III hailed a hero in US crash landing. Ex-fighter pilot saves all on board crash plane http://www.smh.com.au/news/world/how-crash-landing-hero-pulled-off-the-incredible/2009/01/16/1231608949558.html If I had to be in the wrong place at the wrong time, I’d want this guy to be my pilot. Bravo.
